Spanish Rehearsal

I had my first Spanish rehearsal last night! We only learned 10 seconds of choreography, but that was my fault. Everyone else in my class has been a Spanish dancer before, so I got a lot of the attention. Miss Pat Sorrell is my choreographer and her way of teaching is different from what I'm used to.

When I first came into the room, there was a little TV in the corner. So we sat around it and watched last years Spanish choreography. Then Ms. Sorrell placed us in two lines and told us to do what we just saw! Okay, for one thing, nobody told me I needed to study the dancer's movements! Secondly, I was looking at the costumes not the dancers! And the third thing is that they were dancing really fast, so I would've had to really study them!! So unfortunately, we never turned the music on. I was a mess! She really had a hard time with me. But I'm still looking forward to next Monday's rehearsal!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!

Let me explain. On Sunday after church, Krysta and I auditioned for the Nutcracker with BVI ( Ballet Virginia International ). After auditions, they said they would send the cast list on Wednesday evening. We just got the e-mail and we both got in!!! Aaaaaahhh!!! We are sooo excited! I'm a Spanish dancer and Krysta is a Chinese dancer! Exactly what we wanted! We can hardly contain ourselves right now! Rehearsals start this Sunday! Oh yeah! I also auditioned for Snow White, and I got into that one too! Aaaaaahh!

Labor Day

Usually for Labor Day, we go to our Nana & Papa's house for a cook-out. This year, we invited our friends from church to come over and share it with us.

This is Mr. Edwin and Miss Tanya.
They are the youth Sunday school teachers at our church.
It was their anniversary the day before so we celebrated that too.
